WaterNSW to host licensing info session in Bega
13 NOVEMBER 2024WaterNSW regulatory assessment and approvals specialists will hold a drop-in information session in Bega this month, to assist customers in navigating regulations critical to their business operations.
Lodging applications for groundwater bores, metering rules and on-farm storages are among the issues WaterNSW personnel will be on hand to address:
THURSDAY, 21 November at the Bega Valley Commemorative Civic Centre, Zingel Pl, between 9am-4pm.
The Bega session is one of a number of outreach information clinics targeting areas without the opportunity for face-to-face appointments in nearby WaterNSW offices.
Customers will be able to either drop-in or book a 30-minute appointment throughout the day to discuss:
· Licenses, applications and approvals
· Non-urban metering regulations
· Lodging groundwater bore applications in the WaterNSW customer portal
· Floodplain harvesting
· Farm dams/harvestable rights dams.
The outreach events arise in part from customer feedback including from recent field days, according to WaterNSW Stakeholder Engagement manager Brendan Maher.
“We know some customers don’t have ready access to a WaterNSW regulatory expert to receive face-to-face assistance on matters important to running their businesses. These outreach sessions are about making that opportunity available.
“We are also available to meet with customers at field days around the state. This allows WaterNSW to speak to our customers in large numbers, provide them useful information to help in running their businesses, and to hear from their local perspective on what issues might be topical in their areas,” Mr Maher said.
